LUKE LITTLER has jumped another fence after his darts exploits by meeting his rugby league heroes.

The Nuke stunned everyone by reaching the PDC World Championship final at Alexandra Palace, scooping a cool £200,000.

And after his favourite Warrington Wolves players, Josh Thewlis and Matty Ashton, cheered him on at Alexandra Palace on his way to the showpiece, he went from one side of the barrier to the other.

For the 16-year-old sensation, who normally cheers them on from the South Stand, was on the Halliwell Jones pitch on Friday after being invited by the club.

Littler joined new boss Sam Burgess in watching Warrington continue their preparations for the start of the new Super League season.

He then met his Wire heroes before having a team photo in front of the sticks.

And despite reaching the PDC final, which he lost 7-4 to Luke Humphries, and his new found wealth, he insisted he will still be on the South Stand terrace next season when he can make games with his family.

Littler is currently gearing up for Masters tournaments in Bahrain and the Netherlands later this month before embarking on his debut season in the Premier League, commencing on Thursday, February 1.

The Dutch tournament has already produced the teenager’s first clash as he will be in Den Bosch when Burgess takes charge of his side in a match for the first time when the Wolves face Widnes.

But he may be able to make their home competitive opener against Hull FC on Friday, February 23.

Littler has also been offered some advice from Emma Raducanu, who herself had a meteoric rise as a 18-year-old wildcard when she won the US Open.

She said: “I would just say, ‘Keep your circle close, take time to actually enjoy it all, and don’t rush into the next thing straightaway’.”
