Littler is one of ten players who succeeded in securing their place in next month’s Belgian Darts Open.

And he did it while beating Radek Szaganski along the way – the man who dumped him out of the Darts Players Championships less than 24 hours before.

The 17-year-old was drawn against the Polish-Irish star in his opening match of qualifying today.

And he made light work of the man who shocked him the day before by breezing past the 44-year-old 6-0.

Szaganski’s 6-5 victory on Tuesday prevented Littler from achieving back-to-back successes this week on the Players Championship circuit in Wigan.

The one-time Polish darts champion lives in Cork, Ireland, where he supplements his income by driving buses.

Littler’s revenge set him up with matches against fellow Brit Mervyn King and Dutchman Maik Kuivenhoven, both of whom he saw off to secure his place in Belgium next month.

For now Littler will have to turn his attention back to the Premier League with night three getting underway in Glasgow on Thursday.
