Littler, 17, has proved he is not a flash in the pan and went on to win the Bahrain Masters, beating Michael van Gerwen in the final.

There has been plenty of attention on the sensation following his rise with interviews and a growing fanbase.

However, Littler has admitted that he was more nervous when he was invited to meet his Manchester United heroes.

He said: “It was crazy to meet my idols.

“I have been watching them for a very long time.

“It was great to get that opportunity. More nervous than the world final? Yeah.”

He is a boyhood fan of the Red Devils and met the likes of Christian Eriksen, Harry Maguire, Bruno Fernandes, Victor Lindelof, Tom Heaton, Mason Mount and Rasmus Hojlund.

Littler also had a conversation with legendary boss Sir Alex Ferguson during a visit to Old Trafford.

He was the guest of honour during United’s 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur earlier this month.

Ferguson even signed a special shirt that was gifted to the kebab-lover.

Littler has also insisted that he is stopping himself from getting carried away with the fame.

He added: “That’s who I am. I just keep myself to myself.

“That’s what I do.

“Put my Air Pods in. Do my practice, whatever routines I do, and then sit back down and go on stage.”

Littler will make his debut in the Premier League Darts on Thursday as he takes on Humphries in the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff.
