Littler, 17, has been in fine form at the tournament as he has won all three of his group matches.

He completed a clean sweep of his group with victory against Lourence Ilagan in which he was just one dart short of a nine-darter.

The Nuke has been playing in an updated shirt as he pays tribute to his best friend’s dad, who sadly passed away earlier this year.

Littler revealed the tribute on social media, as his shirt added a Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation badge to it.

He wrote: “Some of you may have noticed at the grand slam I’ve been supporting Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.

“A few months back my best mates dad passed away after battling cancer so wanted to do my part to raise awareness of this important cause.

“Any support you can give is massively appreciated.”

The Runcorn thrower was hailed by his fans for his touching message of support.

One posted: “Great head on your shoulders Luke. Well done.”

A second commented: “Proud of you, mate. You’re a true inspiration.”

A third wrote: “Well done Luke.”

A fourth said: “Fair play Luke.”

Another added: “Well done Luke, your mate’s dad would be so proud of you.”

Littler will be back in action on Thursday as he will face off against Mike De Decker.

The tournament has already seen stars such as Luke Humphries, Michael van Gerwen and Michael Smith be knocked out.

Inside Littler's massive rise

LUKE LITTLER has taken the darts world by storm since exploding onto the scene at the PDC World Championship at the beginning of the year.

The Nuke reached the final on his Ally Pally debut at just 16 years of age – smashing records along the way.

He has then gone on to win a host of PDC events and the Premier League title – which he claimed at the O2 Arena by beating world champion Luke Humphries in May.

He also finished his first season in the World Series as the No1 ranked player.

He has joined Jude Bellingham on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe list.

And the teenage titan even had to snub an invite from the WWE.

The Sun exclusively revealed that Littler is plotting to create a fitness empire.

He is also cashing in away from the Oche thanks to an Instagram side hustle.

And he’s even the face of a brand new cereal.

But he is newly single after splitting from girlfriend Eloise Milburn following a 10-month relationship.
