Luke Littler’s blunt two-word dig at ‘Pikachu’ as he reignites feud with darts rival after angry on-stage confrontation

LUKE LITTLER reignited his feud with Ricardo Pietreczko by aiming a blunt two-word dig at the German.

The pair clashed at the Belgian Darts Open earlier this month with Pietreczko giving the teen an earful of verbals.

Littler, 17, appeared confused by the exchange at the time but he has now revealed he knows why ‘Pikachu’ was so upset.

The Warrington wonderkid rubbed his opponent up the wrong way by attempting an audacious 147 checkout.

Pietreczko took exception to Littler and thought he was being arrogant, so was riled up even further when the youngster began finger-wagging to the crowd.

But Littler has now dismissed Pietreczko’s protests and aimed a dig at the world number 34.

He said on the Happy Hour podcast: “He was chatting in German and then said: ‘Don’t do it again.’ I said: ‘What?’

“I knew it was the 147 checkout. I went treble 19, double tops, and then Bull. But I missed the tops. Then I hit the 25.

“The next leg, he gave the finger-wagging to the crowd. I started laughing. I won the next four legs and the game and then he wasn’t happy about it. Get out.”

Littler may be viewed as arrogant by some and there is no doubt he is full of confidence, with the World Darts Championship runner-up dreaming of beating Phil Taylor’s record of 16 world championship wins.

He could be forgiven for getting a little carried away too given his new-found fame, as he is often mobbed for photos.

Littler added: “If I’m out, I don’t mind doing a few (photos) but when it gets too much, I just want to go home then.

“I went to a (rugby league) testimonial game for one of the boys who have been at the club for 10 years. That was just mayhem. That wasn’t even a full stadium.

“But I’ve to get out there and live my life. I don’t mind taking a few (pictures) but it does get over the top.

“I can’t even go out without someone noticing me. As soon as I step on my doorstep.”
