His girlfriend Eloise Milburn, 21, watched on from back home but showed her support on social media as Littler captured his first pro title.

In a post on Instagram, she wrote: “Just wow! Get in there! I am so proud words do not describe!”

Eloise was not able to watch on in person at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir.

However, she cheered Littler on from home on social media during his run to the trophy.

Before beating Van Gerwen, the Nuke saw off World Matchplay champion Nathan Aspinall and 2021 world champion Gerwyn Price.

He even hit a nine-darter in the opening leg of his quarter-final win over Aspinall earlier on Friday.

Littler is only the second player to throw a perfect leg at a World Series of Darts event after Phil Taylor.

After watching his nine-dart leg, Eloise wrote on Instagram: “You really never fail to amaze me!!

“What a win and omggg a 9 darter! Wish I could have seen it in person! So proud.”

The teenage sensation, who turns 17 on Sunday, also reeled in the big fish to secure a 170 checkout in his semi-final against Price.

Littler’s victory in Bahrain comes after a fairytale run to the final of the PDC World Darts Championship.

He is also set to appear in the Premier League this year, with the tournament getting underway in Cardiff on February 1.

The youngster will go in search of a second World Series title first, though, with the Dutch Darts Masters in Den Bosch next week.
