DARTS star Luke Littler has admitted a trip to Wrestlemania in Florida inspired his walk-out music.

The 17-year-old’s walk-out song – ‘Greenlight’ by Pitbull – has been a hit among fans since he broke onto the scene at the World Darts Championship in December.

And he recently revealed why he chose it for his professional debut.

Littler said: “Me and my dad went to Wrestlemania 33, seven years ago now, it was in Florida, Orlando.

“It was my first time being there. It was a good song, I was singing my head off as a ten years old.

“I thought that if I did make it – I was playing football at the time a little bit – then that would be my walk-on.

“I will have it for the time being. I haven’t thought about changing it. Gezzy Price went from Ice Ice Baby to Katie Perry. That was weird.”

The teenager went on to reveal that he received an invite to watch Wrestlemania at the O2 Arena in London this month.

He continued: “It was The O2, one of the events in London. They have invited me. Will I go? If I am available.

“I watch it a little bit. I am not really into it as like 2017/18. I don’t really watch it as much.”

Littler won his maiden Premier League Darts night last week after defeating Nathan Aspinall 6-4 in the Belfast final.

After the event, Littler told Sky Sports: “I’m happy to win, it’s my first one.

“But as people may have seen, I’ve changed my throw to just take that little bit of extra time and then release the next two [darts].

“I’ve put more practice in, and it’s paid off.”
