Despite undoubtedly celebrating another win and heading top of the Premier League table, Littler still found some time to troll Mardle online.

The pair had been snapped on stage at the AO Arena after Littler’s win and the picture began doing the rounds on social media with both stars looking rather awkward in the moment.

So much so that one account on X had posted the photo alongside the words “Caption this” in a bid to get fans to come up with funny captions to the uncomfortable-looking photo.

And while many darts fans did join in with the fun, so did Littler.

The 17-year-old appeared to lightheartedly mock one of Mardle’s own iconic commentary phrases as he quoted the post with the caption: “C’MON NOW @Wayne501Mardle”.

Fans also had the same idea with many referencing his famous commentary during the 2022 world final between Michael Smith and Michael van Gerwen.

One wrote: “I CAN’T SPAKE”.

While another added: “I can’t speak… I can’t speak!”

Littler is sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League table after his win in Manchester.

The Warrington lad was on fine form as he flew past MVG, Nathan Aspinall and Gerwyn Price to win his second Premier League night.

And the youngster even suggested that watching his beloved Manchester United lose 4-3 to Chelsea was the motivation that pushed him on to win the night.

Speaking after his victory, he said: “I was in a bad mood. I was like, ‘I’m winning this now’. It gave me motivation,

“There were a few Manchester United fans on the walkout so I was glad to win.”
