But pictures showed the windscreen of Shaw‘s £180,000 motor had been slapped with four tickets worth £60 each.

Shaw has previously been seen driving the car to Man Utd’s Carrington training ground.

The 28-year-old is not the only Man Utd star to be hit with parking tickets in the new year.

Red Devils ace Marcus Rashford, who has found form by hitting two goals and two assists in his last four games after a slow start to the season, has also felt the sting of parking fines this month.

Last week, the 26-year-old copped a £60 fine after leaving his McLaren 765 Long Tail – worth £280,000 – parked on double yellow lines.

It came as he met Man Utd team-mate Tyrell Malacia for lunch at Juniper Restaurant in Wilmslow.

However, despite both being hit with fines they are not likely to feel too bothered, with Shaw reportedly earning £150,000 a week and Rashford earning £300,000.

Shaw has not featured in the Premier League since before Christmas.

The left-back was set to feature in Man Utd’s clash with Tottenham on Sunday but pulled out at the 11th hour after suffering a setback which forced Aaron Wan-Bissaka into an unfamiliar left-back role.

Boss Erik ten Hag revealed the squad had prepared for the game with Shaw expected to play.

The Dutchman said: “We expected Luke Shaw, we trained with Luke Shaw in preparation for this game, but this morning he dropped out, not fit enough to start.”

Man Utd are next in action against Newport County in the FA Cup 4th round on 28 January before a trip to Wolves on February 1.
