The weekly wrestling programme has been shown by BT Sports and then TNT Sports since January 2020.

However, as from tomorrow, NXT will now be available elsewhere for viewers on these shores to tune-in.

And it will only be available on the WWE Network – which costs £9.99-a-month – although that fee also includes each and every Premium Live Event.

An email sent out from WWE to UK fans said: “We wanted to notify you that you will be able to watch NXT weekly programming LIVE on WWE Network exclusively in your area beginning, 3 Janu‍ary 2024 at 1:0‍0am GMT with NXT’s New Year’s Evil show!

“Beginning this Wednesday, you can catch all of your favourite NXT Superstars live only on WWE Network.”

Despite the news on NXT now be confirmed, TNT Sports are still set to continue to air other WWE weekly shows including Smackdown and Raw events.

WWE NXT is mainly used for young male and female wrestlers to hone their skills before heading on to the main roster.

Back in May 2012, NXT became a developmental programme for WWE, with the stars of the future learning from seasoned veterans in front of a live crowd at Full Sail University.
