Haaland, 23, had been ever-present in the Manchester City side in the Premier League this season.

The prolific forward has started every league game this campaign, scoring 14 goals in 15 matches.

However, Guardiola has now revealed that Haaland has a foot injury.

The big concern for the manager is that he does not know when Haaland will be back.

The Citizens will be monitoring the striker’s recovery “day by day”.

Guardiola said: “He has a bone stress reaction in his foot and after the last game he felt it.

“He can’t play.

“I don’t know how long he’s out.
