THE Manchester derby is set for an unusual kick off time thanks to TV selections.

Man City will host their neighbours Man Utd on Sunday March 3 with the game getting underway at 3:30pm.

The Daily Mail have reported that the decision to change the kick off time came as a result of talks between broadcasters and police.

The match will be shown on Sky Sports and will mean that Burnley’s clash with Bournemouth will also kick off earlier to accommodate the unusual timing.

The Turf Moor game will now start at 1pm with most Sunday fixtures normally scheduled for 2pm and 4:30pm.

The remaining televised fixtures have been announced with a number of heavyweights seeing games moved for TV.

Luton Town’s battle with Aston Villa will be shown by Sky Sports on Saturday March 2.

While Arsenal‘s trip to face Sheffield United will be the Monday night fixture shown on Sky.

The reverse Manchester derby fixture back in October was the only other 3:30pm kick off this season.

And the break in routine didn’t shake Pep Guardola’s men who breezed past their local rivals.

The treble winners banged in three goals and took home all three points in a 3-0 victory at Old Trafford.

City will be hoping they can put in another flawless performance when derby day rolls around again in early March.

While Erik ten Hag’s Man Utd side will have to pull off some magic to get a result from the Etihad Stadium where they haven’t won in the league since 2021.
