MANCHESTER UNITED are considering a £5million move for another goalkeeper despite Andre Onana’s recent arrival.

Turkish international goalkeeper Altay Bayindir is reportedly being considered by United as potential competition for Onana.

According to Daily Mail, Fenerbahce expect Bayindir to leave, and have been in talks with Croatia No1 Dominik Livakovic, who plays for Dinamo Zagreb.

Bayindir, 25, would only cost around £5million and would have to accept his role as back-up to Onana.

England international Dean Henderson is set to leave United and join Nottingham Forest.

There are talks whether this is a permanent move or another loan spell with an obligation to buy this time.

With Henderson likely to be heading out the door, that would leave 37-year old Tom Heaton as United’s No2.

However Heaton has also been linked with a move to Luton Town with an opportunity to be their number one.

Luton are newly promoted to the Premier League for the first time since 1992 when it replaced the old first division.

Heaton played the full 90 minutes in Man Utd’s 2-0 pre-season victory against Arsenal – making multiple impressive saves.

When asked about his future at United, Heaton said: “It’s unsure at the minute, I’ve got to wait until I speak to the manager and see where we’re at.

“I love it here. I have been part of this football club for a long time, but I can’t lie, I also love playing.

“We will have a sit down and chat and see where we go.”
