MANCHESTER UNITED’S season has sunk to embarrassing new lows just as fans were thinking it couldn’t get any worse.
Tom Heaton managed to fumble a shot that was going straight at him into the net and give Hong Kong the lead in a post-season friendly.

United finished the season empty-handed following a 1-0 loss to Tottenham in the Europa League final.
The trophyless Red Devils also managed to end the season in 15th place – their lowest ever Premier League finish.
The squad were then taken to Asia for their post-season tour, which soon saw them suffering new levels of humiliation.
First, they were taken to the stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for their match against ASEAN All-Stars in an open-top bus, despite suffering a season that did nothing to justify any kind of celebration.
Then, they were beaten 1-0 by the ASEAN All-Stars thanks to a goal from Myanmar international Maung Maung Lwin.
But any hopes that the United team might be spurred into a reaction in their next game away to the Hong Kong national team appeared to be dashed early on.
19 minutes into the match, 34-year-old striker Juninho shrugged off a defender and fired a low shot towards Heaton, which slipped through the three-cap England goalkeeper’s hands and into the net.
Following the goal, Man Utd fans were understandably fuming at the embarrassing new depths to which their club had sunk.
One wrote: “Bruh liquidate this club”
Another posted: “Na we are actually cooked”
A third commented: “Absolute laughing stock of a club”
And a fourth stated: “Ffs man. These got beat by Liechtenstein btw”
Hong Kong were indeed beaten 1-0 by Liechtenstein in a friendly in Vaduz last October.
Their last international match took place two weeks ago, when they drew 0-0 in Singapore.
In World Cup qualifying they came bottom of a group featuring Iran, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan after picking up just two points from the six games.
