Sam Allardyce was most reently manager at Leeds United last season.

He came in to try and save the relegation-threatened club with four games remaining but couldn’t do enough as they fell foul of the drop.

The manager is now without a club and appears to be in semi-retirement.

Allardyce is best known for stints at Bolton, West Brom, Newcastle, Crystal Palace, Everton and Sunderland.

He enjoyed an ill-fated stint as England coach where he only took charge of two games.

Still, he won both – and is therefore England’s most successful ever manager in terms of win ratio.
