MANCHESTER UNITED fans have been left furious about the club’s reported stance on Anthony Martial’s contract situation.
A tweet from Sky Sports News – which has now been deleted – claimed the out-of-favour Frenchman is set to sign a contract extension with the Red Devils.

United fans have been unhappy with Martial for some time now, so many were furious after finding out that he could stay at Old Trafford.
One person took to X, formerly Twitter, to write: “This club is a joke.”
Another commented: “Might be the worst decision in football history. And Man Utd have made a lot of those lately.”
A third wrote: “This is b*******!! What are we doing?”
While a fourth said: “Embarrassing club.”
Sky Sports have since deleted the tweet stating that Martial is set to extend.
Erik ten Hag discussed the Frenchman’s future at the club in a press conference on Thursday.

He said: “We are talking with Raphael Varane, with Anthony Martial, and we triggered the options on Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof and Hannibal.”
“I think that is an internal discussion between the club and the player.”
Martial has not completed a full 90 minutes of football for United in three years.
The forward has scored once in 13 Premier League appearances so far this season.
Man Utd currently sit eighth in the table with 31 points from 20 games.
The Red Devils kick off their FA Cup campaign on Monday against Wigan.
