MANCHESTER UNITED supporters face more travel chaos as they get set to be stranded in London over Easter.

The Red Devils’ trip to Brentford on Saturday 30 March has been selected for TV coverage.

That also means that the Premier League showdown has been rescheduled to kick-off at the Gtech Community Stadium at 8pm

However, the last train service departing London St Pancras International to Manchester Piccadilly is due to depart just two minutes after the action gets underway.

That is an East Midlands Train service to Manchester via Sheffield that departs King’s Cross at 8:02pm.

Meanwhile, there are two services departing St Pancras at 9:32pm and 10:32pm on March 30.

But they are overnight journeys that are not scheduled to arrive at Manchester Piccadilly until 9:04am on Easter Sunday.

Avanti West Coast’s latest service on a regular week from London to Manchester on a Saturday finishes with a 9.01pm departure from Euston.

That would then arrive in Manchester at 11:42pm.

No tickets by the rail company have yet been released – although they are expected to go on sale over the coming week or so.

But either way, United fans are looking at the prospect of potentially being forced to spend Easter Sunday in the capital city.

The Easter bank holiday weekend has a much reduced service with trains running less frequently.

That also means that passengers are looking at longer journeys amid train changes and engineering works that have been scheduled by National Rail.

The late kick-off spot on a Saturday is now becoming something of an annoyingly regular occurrence for United fans.

The change at Brentford is the fourth time that Erik ten Hag’s team have had a game moved to an 8pm slot on a Saturday.

That is not only the most of any Premier League side, but every one has also been away from home.

United have previously been selected for the late slot for their trips to Newcastle, Sheffield United and Burnley.
