MANCHESTER UNITED’S net spend in the past decade amounts to over an eye-watering £1BILLION.
But their current squad is valued at around £500million LESS.

PAThe Red Devils have not been shy of a bob or two since their last Premier League title win.
United have come up woefully short in the football department since Sir Alex Ferguson’s departure in 2013.
However, the numbers show they have spent some serious dosh in the transfer windows.
An unbelievable £1.528bn has been splurged on multiple signings during this time, according to figures from Transfermarkt.
The likes of Angel Di Maria (£64m), Paul Pogba (£89m) and Romelu Lukaku (£72m) all cost a pretty penny.
While current players like Antony (£81m), Harry Maguire (£74m) and Jadon Sancho (£72m) didn’t come cheap either.
And during the same period, United only took in £405m from players sold.
It leaves them with an astonishing net spent of £1.123bn for the past decade.

But United’s current squad only has a value of £638m.
That’s a major difference of £485m.
And it makes for painful reading for Sir Jim Ratcliffe, whose mission statement is to trim the fat and get the best value for money from signings.
United were unable to make any signings in January due to financial constraints.
A lack of reinforcements has seen their bid for fourth fizzle out.
And only glory in the FA Cup can put a positive spin on the season for Erik ten Hag.
But whether he remains in charge to make more signings remains unclear.
Ratcliffe has already been busy behind the scenes, hiring Omar Berrada from Man City as United’s new CEO.
Newcastle chief Dan Ashworth is also wanted as sporting director.
And Ratcliffe may fancy a new manager who has bought into his vision and project from the off.
