Man Utd ‘make first contact’ for transfer of one of Europe’s hottest strikers with very affordable release clause

MANCHESTER UNITED are interested in Stuttgart star Serhou Guirassy, according to reports.

The striker is enjoying a remarkable season in the Bundesliga, scoring 15 goals in ten matches so far.

Only Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane has netted more than him in Europe’s top five leagues with 22 domestically.

His form comes as a surprise to most after he was on target just 11 times last season.

Guirassy, 27, is now on the radar of several top clubs and Man Utd are one of those keen.

They have supposedly made contact with Stuttgart regarding his availability.

And the Guinea international has a £14.6million release clause that can be triggered in January.

It makes him an affordable option for United as they look to bolster their attack in the transfer window.

Erik ten Hag’s side have scored for fun in the Champions League, hitting the back of the net 12 times in five games.

Although this has come with the defence leaking 14 goals in those matches.

But it has been a different story in the Premier League for the Red Devils, who have scored just 16 times in 13 games.

Foot Mercato report that Guirassy is open to leaving Stuttgart should a tempting offer come in.

But United face competition in the battle to sign him from Roma, AC Milan and Newcastle.

West Ham were interested in him last year.
