The Dutch tactician was booked by referee Graham Scott after complaining about the award of a throw-in during Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Luton Town at Old Trafford.

That follows the 53-year-old’s cautions against Tottenham as well as Arsenal earlier in the campaign and that led to a one-match ban.

The ex-Ajax boss will now be prohibited from being present on the touchline when the Red Devils visit Everton on November 26 after the international break.

The FA made some key changes to disciplinary rules in 2019 and that included yellow as well as red cards for coaching staff.

And that of course led to match suspensions for respective offenders.

However, the threshold for such an accumulation is lower than that for a player.

Players get slapped with a ban after five yellow cards in the first half of the season or 10 bookings at any point in the campaign.

But managers are suspended after three yellow cards at any point in the season.

Eight bookings will will then trigger a two-game ban , while 16 yellow cards will lead to an FA misconduct hearing.

Previously, coaches would be banned after four yellow cards during the first half of the Premier League season, but the FA lowered that by one.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola also served a ban at Wolves on September 30 after he also received three yellow cards.
