The supporter, who was holding a Palestine flag, ran around the pitch.

They were eventually caught by stewards and removed from the pitch.

Following a short stoppage, the match was able to restart.

The incident occurred with Man Utd already leading 1-0.

Prior to the match, Copenhagen displayed a huge tifo behind one of the goals.

A sign read “Your Theatre of Nightmares”.

The Red Devils coped well initially, taking an early lead through Rasmus Hojlund.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s smart reverse pass sent Scott McTominay racing in behind.

The in-form Scot squared the ball for Hojlund, who gratefully tapped home.

Shortly after the pitch invader ran on, Man Utd lost to Jonny Evans to injury.

The Northern Ireland international had again been selected alongside Harry Maguire ahead of Raphael Varane.

French international Varane replaced Evans.

Play was then stopped again, when a fan was taken ill in the crowd.

Players waited around as the supporter received treatment, before the match got back underway a few minutes later.
