It’s still one of the biggest games in the Premier League calendar – despite the fact there are 12 places between them in the table.

United’s inconsistency has been remarkable and so common.

They battled back to a draw at Goodison Park when looking like losing, then showed more good character to beat Ipswich despite having 10 men. Defeat on penalties to Fulham in the cup followed and then there was a 1-1 draw at Sociedad in midweek in Europe.

They’re down in 14th spot, nine points away from the top half and 11 away from sixth spot – both of which look out of reach in what has been a shocker of a campaign.

And Arsenal can capitalise after a stunning midweek win of their own.

A goalless draw at the City Ground in their last league game has all but killed their title challenge with Liverpool stretching well clear.

But to follow that up with a stunning 7-1 win at PSV in their Champions League first leg showed they can score goals without a striker and they must be brimming with confidence making the trip north.

And the Gunners have won the last three league encounters between the sides, conceding once in that time.

Wood he manage?

Jurrien Timber opened the scoring in midweek, making a late run into the back post to rise high and score with his head.

But despite all the big men up from the corner, he’s also getting plenty of first contacts and likely should have more goals to his game.
