And he brought out his own bottle for dinner.

We can reveal he started buying the Mexican hard stuff during lockdown, as he watched the Netflix crime drama based on Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar and other cartel members.

A source said: “Marcus loved Narcos and would binge-watch it like lots of people.

“He saw episodes where they were drinking tequila and thought he’d give it a try so he started ordering on the internet.

“He got a taste for it and started buying really expensive bottles, spending thousands having them imported from the US and Mexico.”

Tequila is made from the fermented juices of the blue agave plant growing in the Mexican desert.

Rashford, whose favourite brands include £50-£80 bottles of Artenom Seleccion de 1146 and Patron, was dropped for the FA Cup win over Newport County on Sunday and fined two weeks’ wages of £650,000.
