But Allen has endured a difficult season and is yet to reach the final of a tournament.

He even lost to world number 58 Daniel Wells in March at the World Open in China.

The shock defeat led one snooker fan to send him an abusive message as Allen’s failure to win meant he lost a bet.

The message read: “You s*** match fixing c***.

“Did you have a bet on Wells? Let me down on an eight fold. Awful you, ya look ill.”

That message was sent in March before the fan reappeared to slam Allen once again, despite his win over Figueiredo.

The fan messaged back, saying: “Lucky you was playing a Brazilian plumber, be found out you in the next round. F***ing awful.”

The Northern Irishman reacted with a laughter emoji before taking to X to publicly call out the troll, including sharing his telephone number.

Allen encouraged his supporters to get in touch if they required any painting and decorating services, since the abusive fan messaged him from his business account.

Allen, 38, wrote: “Funny the messages you get from some even when you win 😂

“If you’d like to give this lovely fella a call for all your decorating needs or for ‘anything else’ contact him on 0**********. Thanks.”

He continued: “Turns out my favourite decorator can also be contacted on 0**********. I always like trying to help my friends out. Give him a call.”
