Trump took a 5-3 lead into the evening session despite Williams winning the first frame.

Williams proceeded to fall further behind and did not win his second frame of the match until he was 4-2 down.

After the session came to an end he took to social media to vent his frustration in a light-hearted way.

He wrote: “I am crap.”

And fans also saw the funny side as they reacted to the post.

One posted: “You are a champion.”

A second joked: “Still the best player in the whole world bar about 7 or 8 others.”

A third commented: “Don’t show off. You’re nowhere near as good as that!”

A fourth wrote: “Behave.”

Another added: “You’re definitely not that. Have more faith in yourself.”

Williams also poked fun at losing four frames in a row to Trump.

He joked: “Well, I enjoyed them four frames.”

He also shared a selfie of himself looking unimpressed with the caption: “Face of a man who just hit more cushions than pots.”

Williams did impress at times during the opening session as he hit back-to-back centuries to close the gap to Trump.

He also potted the black with a trick shot which saw plenty of cheers from the audience.
