Allen and Carter both remained in their seats as medics attended the scene.

Play was halted for around 10 minutes as the member of the crowd received attention.

Both men remained relaxed after Allen had already left the table for a short break following Carter’s win in the second frame.

Indeed, Allen ate an apple as the medical emergency was seen to by professionals.

And after 10 minutes had passed, ref Rob Spencer declared play could resume.

Allen and Carter are both hoping to make Sunday’s final.

The winner of tonight’s clash will take on Ronnie O’Sullivan.

He defeated Shaun Murphy 6-2 in the first semi.

The Rocket is hoping to land a record eighth title.

It would make him both the youngest and the oldest-ever player to win the Masters.

And victory would also pocket O’Sullivan a cool £250,000.
