Pochettino, 52, was one of the names linked to the England job since Gareth Southgate‘s exit but could find work across the Atlantic.

TalkSPORT has reported that he is the USA‘s “top candidate” to make a change for the team.

He would be replacing Gregg Berhalter who has been relieved of his duties.

Jurgen Klopp was linked with the vacant role after he left Liverpool but has snubbed the opportunity.

The German has insisted that he is not planning a return to coaching any time soon.

Berhalter was axed after USA suffered an early exit from the 2024 Copa America.

The team was knocked out of the tournament in the group stages as they finished third behind Uruguay and Panama.

He had also led the team during the World CUp in 2022 but could not see them past the round of 16.
