Angela C. Yeo is an American bodybuilder, powerlifter, and former professional figure and physique contestant.

She was born on July 23, 1984, in Temperance, Michigan.

Angela’s journey in sports began early, supported by a solid academic background.

After graduating from Bedford Senior High School, she pursued studies at Eastern Michigan University.

She later specialized in personal training and sports nutrition through the International Sports Sciences Association, which laid the groundwork for her multifaceted career in fitness and bodybuilding.

Angela Yeo’s Bodybuilding and Athletic Record

Her athletic record is marked by numerous wins across different disciplines, including figure, physique, and powerlifting.

In figure competitions, Angela made her mark in 2013 by winning the Toledo Glass Scepter and later dominating the ABA/INBA/PNBA Natural Universe and Natural Olympia contests.

She continued to collect titles through 2015, taking first place in numerous events such as the North American Naturals and the DFAC World Finals.

Her powerlifting career further showcased her strength and versatility.

Between 2017 and 2019, she participated in several powerlifting events, securing podium finishes and achieving lifts across squat, bench press, and deadlift categories.

Angela’s bests include a 369.3-pound deadlift at the 2019 USPA National Powerlifting Championships.

Her shift to women’s physique competition led to more victories.

She earned first place in key contests like the 2015 ABA/INBA/PNBA Natural Olympia and the 2020 NPC National Championships.

Her accomplishments in this discipline ultimately opened the way for her transition into professional bodybuilding.

In 2022, she debuted at the IFBB Chicago Pro bodybuilding competition, where she won the title and secured her spot at the Ms. Olympia competition.

She placed second to Andrea Shaw at both the 2022 and 2023 Ms. Olympia competitions, as well as at the 2023 Rising Phoenix World Championships.

Angela told Muscle and Fitness about the Ms. Olympia competition: “It’s unbelievable.

“To go to the Olympia as a professional athlete, as an invited athlete, it’s like I knew I was going to go.”

In 2024, Angela achieved her biggest triumph by defeating Andrea Shaw to win her first Rising Phoenix World Championship.
