MICHAEL van Gerwen has told Luke Humphries to shave his chest and that there are plenty of players he’d like to punch in the face!
The Dutch superstar revealed his most explosive opinions on fellow players in a podcast with Jaackmate.
MVG, 34, joked about the new world champ needing to get a razor out and commented on Gary Anderson and Fallon Sherrock.
On new World No1 Humphries, he said: “When I have to think about him. He needs to shave the hair of his breast off. I keep telling him. I even make bets with him.
“He says ‘yeah when I win this tournament I’m going to shave’. Just shave it off. I ask his missus ‘do you like’ and she says ‘yeah of course I like’. She doesn’t want to say no of course!”
Van Gerwen has previously been a mentor to Queen of the Palace Sherrock with plenty of advice.
He continued: “She’s always a bit quiet, quite shy. I would like to see her a bit more confident, would help her a lot I think.”
On Anderson he added: “He’s got a bit of a hate/love relationship with darts. Then he is moaning, then he is playing again. He’s a weird one to judge.”
Jaackmate then asked MVG about rivals that annoy him and his honesty in interviews.
When asked which darts player he’d like to punch in the face, he said: “There’s a few of them.

“Why would you be different than what you are? Just be yourself. Some people don’t like it when you say things but it makes your life easier when you are just yourself.
“When you have an interview with a football player or a dart player, it’s much more easy with a dart player. I never had any training.”
MVG, who lost out in the recent Worlds quarter-finals to Scott Williams, also revealed his motivations and that he plays Call of Duty to relax.
He said: “Trophies. I like winning. The total package is right for me.
“I don’t like watching darts or anything about myself. I’ve got a lot of other things to do before I watch darts.
“I play Call of Duty online with mates.”
On the worst thing about darts, he added: “I like the Premier League but the combination with the ProTours, sometimes I think I’d rather be at home with the kids.”
