Upon seeing his horse claim victory, and a cool £65,000, Ferguson beamed and hugged his pals.

He then turned around to see his co-owner Lisa Hales holding an Aston Villa scarf above her head.

Lisa is the daughter of the late John Hales, who co-owner Caldwell Potter with Ferguson.

Hales played a key role in the purchase of the horse for £620,000 in an auction last year.

He passed away in January aged 85.

Hales was a  Grand National-winning owner who amassed his huge fortune making toys.

Hales and Sir Alex shared some amazing scenes at last year’s Cheltenham Festival.

They roared home two winners alongside Sam Allardyce and Coronation Street actor Alan Halsall, who was by Ferguson’s side again to roar on Caldwell Potter.
