BRYONY FROST has ruled out a big return to Britain for the new jumps season, saying: “My life is in France now.”
The record-breaking jockey told Sun Racing she was hopping across the Channel to further her career earlier this year.

Frost, whose dad Jimmy won the 1989 Grand National, has made a new life for herself riding for millionaire owners Simon Munir and Isaac Souede in France.
The duo, famed for their Double Green silks which have been seen on the likes of Irish Grand National winner Intense Raffles and Aintree Hurdle king Impaire Et Passe, employ Frost as their retained rider.
Her time in France got off to a quick start – she said she was ‘loving life’ – but stalled when she broke her shoulder in a fall at Le Lion D’Angers last June.
Frost, who’s now back riding, told The Claiming Lads podcast she is having so much fun over there that she won’t give it all up to race in Britain once the jumps starts in earnest next month.
She said: “My team is here and my life is here now.
“If we’re not riding and Double Green don’t need me and there’s a ride back in England, you might see me.
“But my main focus now is France and my horses out here – that’s it now.
“In England I have been suported by some wonderful owners and some brilliant trainers.
“And going into my career I never allowed myself to dream what I have achieved, I just kept my head down and worked hard.
“But chapter’s end… and just because I’m here does not mean I can’t jump on a plane and go back.
“But my focus is very much with Double Green. Wherever they need me is where I will go.”
With the owners having so many top horses there is the chance Frost could return for the big festivals at Cheltenham and Aintree in the spring.
But she also said another aspect of her job is better in France – and it’s saving her more than a few quid.
If an owner wants you to ride their horse, they cover your travel expenses, whereas here the jockey pays.
She said: “In England you have your own travel expenses and pay out of your own pocket.
“The French system looks after that for you and is fantastic, it makes a difference and helps.”
