NFL fans have wasted no time in accusing the league of rigging Super Bowl LVIII.
For the third time in five years, the Kansas City Chiefs have hoisted the Lombardi Trophy after beating the San Francisco 49ers 25-22.

This marked the first time a Super Bowl had used their new overtime rules.
The new rules allowed both teams the opportunity to score a touchdown in four fifteen-minute quarters.
Shortly after the game, ESPN’s Adam Schefter took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to remind his followers of something CBS Sports Chairman Sean McManus had said earlier in the week.
“The NFL has alerted us that, for the first time ever, we will have a double overtime game (in the Super Bowl),” McManus said on February 6, as per Schefter.
Immediately, fans flocked to the X to claim the game was rigged.
“The perfect script,” wrote one user.
A second said, “Tell me it’s rigged without telling me it’s rigged.”
As a third added, “The only thing worse than this abysmal game is OT.”
While another responded, “We love the script.”
Following the game, Chiefs players and staff flocked the field at Allegiant Stadium in celebration.
But it seems the Chiefs already have their eyes on a three-peat.
“The goals always been to get three,” Travis Kelce said on the podium.
He later ended his speech, “I’ll see y’all next year.”
Travis was met on the field by his girlfriend, and pop star, Taylor Swift.
The couple were captured embracing and whispering in one another ears as they kissed in celebration.
