Kansas City are defending champions having won the Super Bowl in February.

And they came up against an impressive Miami Dolphins side with both teams winning six of their opening eight games.

The NFL was back in Germany a year after their extraordinary debut game in the country.

Millions of people applied for tickets for Sunday’s game when they were released earlier this year.

But just over 40,000 lucky fans packed the stadium in Frankfurt for Sunday’s spectacle.

Last year, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers took on the Seattle Seahawks at Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena.

Buccaneers quarterback and seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady described it as one of the best experiences of his career.

And the NFL is back in Germany with two games this season in consecutive weeks.

The Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots will battle it out in Frankfurt next Sunday, November 12.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell revealed that the league will expand their international games even further.

London hosted three games in consecutive weekends last month – one at Wembley and two at Tottenham.

Spain has been widely rumoured to be the NFL’s next destination in Europe.

Goodell told Sky Sports: “We’re looking and analysing where we go next year.

“We will certainly go to a new market next year for sure.

“We’re debating on that and I think we’ll have a decision in the next 30-45 days.

So we’ll be ready to. I think that’ll be exciting for us.”
