17-year-old Luke Littler had his worst performance on the tour yet as he was knocked out in his first game by Gerwyn Price.

Littler lost his match 6-5 and missed a crucial chance to check out in the final leg.

Normally a cool and collected customer, the 17-year-old appeared to punch himself as his frustration boiled over after the missed check out.

Many players were coming off the back of the Player’s Championship in Wigan, which was full of surprises and saw Littler knocked out by Pole Radek Szaganskiwho supplements his income as a bus driver in Cork.

World champion Luke Humphries also had a tournament to forget in Wigan as he was knocked out in the first round – but bounced back by reaching the final of the Premier League in Glasgow last night.

The next instalment of the tour will see the action travel to Newcastle.
