Paddy Power release 1,000 cheeky 25% scarves to celebrate Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s Man Utd takeover progress

The cheeky Irish bookmaker-turned fashionistas have released the world’s first quarter-and-three-quarter scarf!

Paddy Power have beaten the likes of Louis Vuitton, Gucci and even Jacamo to the punch with this innovative piece – leaving the infamous half-and-half tourist scarves in the dust.

The commemorative items are one quarter traditional United red and black, to welcome Sir Jim and his INEOS team to Old Trafford, and three quarters green and gold – to represent the ongoing protest against the Glazers.

The scarves will be given away outside Old Trafford ahead of Manchester United’s first home game in the new era, against Fulham next Saturday (24th February), to the first 1,000 fans who claim one.

The bookmaker will also be giving 100 scarves away on Twitter over the next few days.

Spokesman Paddy Power said: “The way United fans are going, Sir Jim Ratcliffe could be their biggest ever signing. It’s just a shame that he’s a 71-year-old Chelsea season ticket holder, and not a decent centre back.
