The pair were sat next to Fury’s promoter Frank Warren and Joshua’s Eddie Hearn.

Upon seeing the finish, Hearn immediately bounced up to celebrate.

Joshua, however, was initially more muted in his celebrations.

The 34-year-old waited until Ngannou was okay to really toast his victory.

AJ was praised for his classy gesture.

And when Ngannou was able to get back to his feet, Joshua made a point of going over to shake his hand.

The former heavyweight champion then told the MMA star: “Don’t leave boxing.

“If you need anything let me know. We’ll speak another time.”

The nature of Joshua’s victory was particularly impressive given Fury’s toils against Ngannou last year.

The Gypsy King had laboured to a controversial points victory over the former UFC champ, and was even knocked to the canvas in the process.

After the bout, Joshua said: “When I saw the fight with Tyson Fury I thought ‘I want some of that’. [Ngannou] is a great champion and this doesn’t take anything away from his capabilities.

“I told him not to leave boxing. He’s two fights in and he’s fought the best.”
