But can you guess which Corrie icon it looks like?

The Paris Olympics kicks off in less than a week, with the opening ceremony taking place next Friday.

Stars from around the world will gather in the French capital to battle for gold.

And UK fans will be eager to see a good showing from Team GB.

Aces like Tom Daley, Matty Lee and Adam Peaty made a splash by securing gold medals at Tokyo 2020.

Lauren Price stormed to the top prize in boxing.

While cycling legend Jason Kenny picked up his seventh Olympic gold – a team GB record.

In total, a proud nation finished fourth in the table with 22 gold medals.

But fans have been unable to tear themselves away from the Paris Olympics’ new logo.

The image is meant to depict the Olympic torch glowing over the tournament.

However, some people reckon it looks exactly like Coronation Street legend Gail Platt.

The popular character is portrayed by Helen Worth and first appeared on the ITV show in 1974.

And some fans revealed they “can’t unsee it” after the resemblance was pointed out on social media.

Another declared: “French Platt.”

One noted: “Taking home a PLATTinum medal.”

Another added: “This is great.”

Deliberate illusion

While fans have been amazed at the optical illusion, organisers will be pleased because it was DELIBERATELY designed that way.

However, it’s not supposed to look like Gail Platt.

It is in face a nod to Marianne – a French symbol of freedom and strength.

Olympic organisers explain: “Marianne is a universal symbol embodied by iconic and influential women.

“She lends a human face to the Olympic Games, standing for the people and with the people.

“She symbolizes women’s emancipation and a strong signal that sport and its governing bodies are finally evolving.”
