FANS have just discovered darts prodigy Luke Littler attended the same school as Chris Evans and Kerry Katona.
The trio hail from Warrington and went to secondary school at Padgate Academy, formerly known as Padgate Community High School.
Luke Littler has been a sensation at the World Darts Championship[/caption]Littler, who is nicknamed ‘The Nuke’, has caused a stir at the World Darts Championship.
At 16-years-old he became the youngest player to win a match in the competition, beating Christian Kist, a former Lakeside world champion, in the first round.
Six months after taking his GCSEs, the teen won nine of the 11 legs and posted an astonishing average of 106.12 – the highest of the tournament.
Winning 3-0 so comprehensively inside 19 minutes of playing time, after throwing seven 180s, has seen his odds tumble from 50-1 to 12-1 to claim the £500,000 crown on January 3.
Less than 24 hours after he won his debut match on the Ally Pally stage, Littler beat Andrew Gilding to progress to the third round.
He has proved hugely popular and his mum’s cheeky Christmas Day post went viral as she shared a photo of Littler opening his presents.
He is now amongst the favourites to be crowned world champion – and he could be on the path to becoming the most notable alumni to come out of Padgate Academy.
That would be no mean feat considering Katona achieved three number one singles with Atomic Kitten, while their first two albums also went to the top of the charts.
