PEP GUARDIOLA says he has to decide what he wants to do with his life – after Wayne Rooney tipped him for the England job.
The Three Lions will have Under 21 boss Lee Carsley in place for their September matches – but the long-term successor to Gareth Southgate has yet to be named.

Asked about the England job, he said: “I have to decide what I want to do in my life.
“If I want to continue here, take a break, train national teams or not – many things.”
Guardiola admits he is raring to go again after watching most of his squad back in training this week.
He added: “Right now I am here and as you arrive at the competitions my energy rises again, so I am fully excited for the season because I see things that I like.
“We will see, it’s a new challenge if we are able to break our own records.
“Last season we broke the record and never has it been done before.

“We will see what is the ambition. I’m looking forward to us all coming back together and restart and we see how we will behave every day.”
Pep’s four Euro 2024 finalists – Rodri, Phil Foden, John Stones and Kyle Walker – are due to return to training early next week.
