Premier League darts – Finals Night preview

The final four make their way to the 02 Arena with the prize of the 2025 Premier League darts champion up for grabs.

Littler arrives at Finals Night as the warm favourite to defend his title after an incredible campaign.

The teenager broke all kinds of records in storming his way to top spot in the table, including a record points tally of 45.

He won a record six nights out of 16 and won 27 matches along the way, which left him 11 points clear of closest challenger Humphries.

The pair avoid one another in the semi finals, with Littler facing his bogey man, Price and Humphries facing Aspinall, who booked his spot with a couple of terrific wins over Michael van Gerwen in the closing weeks.

Many are predicting a Luke vs Luke final – a sight we’re becoming used to – but you cannot rule out the other two semi finalists.

It’s also played over a longer format than the league phase of the Premier League, with each semi-final a best of 19 legs before the final that is the best of 21 legs.

The four players have already bagged themselves a cool £85,000 in prize money just for getting here, with the beaten finalist set to pocket £125,000 and the winner scooping a sensational £275,000.

Premier League darts – Finals Night prediction

Luke Littler is obviously the leading man for this competition, having won it last year and finished the league phase in splendid form.

He also has far more experience than when winning it last year and is rightly the warm favourite.

But the one player he probably wanted to avoid is Gerwyn Price, who has had his measure on numerous occasions in the short rivalry between the two.

Nathan Aspinall and Luke Humphries won the 2023 and 2024 World Matchplay, respectively, and have course and distance form over these longer matches.

Going by the value and the shocks demonstrated in other sports recently, the 11/1 price of Nathan Aspinall looks too good to pass up as the value selection.
