GERWYN PRICE said the Premier League final “was spoilt before a dart was even thrown” in a cryptic Instagram post.
Night Ten of this season’s Premier League took place at Manchester’s AO Arena.
Gerwyn Price said the Premier League final ‘was spoilt before a dart was even thrown’[/caption]Price booked his place in the last four by beating Peter Wright 6-4.
He then took on Michael Smith, and produced an amazing nine-darter to the delight of the crowd.
But he could not stop teenage sensation Luke Littler, who defeated Price 6-3 in the final.
Price spoke out following the loss and posted: “Gutted with tonight’s ending, final was spoilt before a dart was even thrown but that’s what happens my game is in a great place.
“We move on #changeisneeded. Great crowd and amazing atmosphere, thanks Manchester.”
Despite praising the crowd, a huge brawl broke out in the stands during Price’s match with Smith.
Video footage circulating online shows a trio of men appearing to brawl.
In amongst it was a woman dressed as Where’s Wally? – who looked to jump into the fray before being handled by security.

After things calmed down, the crowd watched on as Littler then defeated Price to win his second consecutive night in the Premier League.
His triumph saw him climb to the top of the table… although he later joked that his evening had been ruined by his beloved Manchester United.
United conceded in the 100th and 101st minutes to lose 4-3 to Chelsea in a Premier League thriller at Stamford Bridge.
And little admitted: “I’m glad I won, I just saw United concede two in two minutes. I am glad to win.
“I have settled into it. The first 5-6 weeks I won the first game and then lost and lost. But winning last week gave me so much confidence coming to Manchester.”
The season now moves on to April 11 in Birmingham where Littler takes on Rob Cross and Price rematches Smith.
The Nuke is now top of the table, one point ahead of his Ally Pally final conqueror Luke Humphries.
