They enter in the hope of being crowned the “Best Dressed” and “Best Suited”.
It takes place before the start of the horse race, which has been held on the first Tuesday of November since 1876.
Lady Eliza, 31, wore an ankle-length gown that sat off the shoulder.
She completed her outfit with a thin golden headpiece which draped down over her face.
Meanwhile Lady Ameila, also 31, wore a skater-style dress with short sleeves.
She paired it up with red stilettos and a flower headband.

The twins appearance at the Melbourne Cup comes after they attended a fashion show marking the 50th anniversary of designer Marc Cain in September.
This years race was won by Without A Fight to give jockey Mark Zahra back-to-back victories.
