THE SUNPSG vs Barcelona preview
An intriguing encounter awaits in Paris as PSG host Barcelona in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final contest.
The hosts, managed by former Barca boss Luis Enrique, look certain to capture the Ligue 1 title having gone FIVE months without defeat in all competitions.
In fact, PSG last lost on November 7, 2023 against AC Milan and have put together a whopping 19 wins and eight draws since that evening at the San Siro.
PSG still have their eyes on a historic treble, and have a great chance of making the UCL final for a second time having found themselves on the ‘easier’ side of the draw.
Atletico Madrid or Borussia Dortmund await at the semi-final stage for the winner of this two-legged contest, before one of Manchester City, Real Madrid, Arsenal or Bayern Munich await in the final at London’s historic Wembley Stadium on June 1.
Barcelona aren’t exactly struggling either.
Xavi’s side travel to the French capital on an 11-game unbeaten run and have fond memories of this meeting after that 2017 comeback – becoming the first team to overturn a first-leg 4-0 deficit.

The Catalan visitors will be desperate not to lose, and end a horrid record of ONE win in their last ELEVEN away Champions League knockout matches, while PSG have had to settle for three draws in their last five home fixtures – including a frustrating 1-1 with rock-bottom Clermont over the weekend.
