Punter’s £5 acca returns over £10k thanks to 90th minute winner and Chelsea’s derby triumph

CHELSEA’S win over local rivals Fulham was the final piece of a monster jigsaw for one Ladbrokes punter this weekend.

That’s because the bettor’s eight-fold – which kicked off with a rogue horse added in for good measure – landed a stunning £10,000 from their £5 stake!

And it wasn’t without its drama, too.

As mentioned, it all kicked off with a horse punt on Friday – from the Middle East too.

Kabirkhan (10/3 favourite) for Doug Watson ran out a really comfortable four-length winner in the 4.25 at Meydan, where Pat Dobbs recovered from a relatively slow start before cruising smoothly through the field to record an easy success.

A good start, particularly being the longest odds of the entire bet.

The shortest price of the eight-fold came with much more issues, with AEK Larnaca (4/7) leaving it until the 83rd minute to eventually see off ten-man Nea Salamis in the Cypriot First Division.

Three other Friday evening selections saw FC Martigues (11/10), Heracles Almelo (14/5) and Eibar (4/6) all win their own games with relative comfort.

But the Friday night drama was set to go up a notch.

Alaves (16/5) were a point clear of Sevilla in the La Liga table heading into the game at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium where they were underdogs for victory.

Things couldn’t have gone better as they raced into a 2-0 first half lead – registering nine shots at goal.

But the audacious acca looked to be dead and buried when Rafa Mir bagged in the 70^th minute and then a NO-LOOK PENALTY from Lucas Ocampos drew the game level with eight to play.

But for just the 3rd time in his 205 La Liga appearances, Ruben Duarte found the back of the net in the 90th minute to clinch the three points for Alaves.

Luton’s controversial late, late equaliser at relegation rivals Burnley through Carlton Morris was another dramatic finish, with the draw (23/1) another shrewd pick.

Seven out of seven for Friday’s selections, the punter must’ve been tossing and turning all night waiting for the West London derby at lunchtime on Saturday.

But selecting Chelsea at 3/5 paid off when a first half stoppage-time Cole Palmer penalty was enough to seal the derby for Chelsea – and £10,042.03 for this clever bettor.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Our plucky punter must’ve gone through every possible emotion over the course of a few hours between Friday and Saturday.

“But luck was very much on their side, with a couple of injury-time goals going in their favour. A fiver into ten grand isn’t something our traders see every day, which is why this goes down as one of the standout bets of the series so far.”
