A RACING punter had a 30 minutes to remember on Sunday – scooping a sensational £18,000 win from a treble!

The ‘unbelievable’ winning trio all came within half an hour across racing at Lingfield and Punchestown.

The Betfair customer staked £10 each-way in total on the three horses and won £18,009.

Whether a speculative punt or some sensational form reading, you can’t argue it’s a fabulous piece of betting.

And the shrewd punter’s heart rate might just have peaked after winning the first leg in the 3.30 at Lingfield.

That’s because Sir Titan – trained by Tony Carroll – was given a peach of a ride by 7lbs claimer Molly Gunn to win the Class 6 race over a mile.

Better still? They went off at monster odds of 33/1.

The official winning distance was a Neck, however NINE horses finished within 2 1/4 lengths of the eventual winner.

The perfect start – and they didn’t need to wait long to make it two from two.

The shortest priced of the three came in the 3.35 at Punchestown and 11/4 joint-favourite Hardwired in the Amateur Handicap Chase over 2m6f.

Ted Walsh’s runner – ridden by Alex Harvey – was fortunate that chief market rival Bonnie Kellie made a race-defining error two fences from home when passing Hardwired, holding a slender lead and travelling better.

That error let Hardwired regain the lead and they were left clear to win by six lengths.

All eyes were back to the all-weather and Lingfield’s finale – the 4.00 Class 6 over 7f.

Michael Attwater’s Ajrad was the selection at 12/1 but was supported before the off and eventually went off at 17/2.

Adam Farragher’s mount joined the lead at the 1f pole but had favourite Hold The Press under Marco Ghiani on the inside with the rail to help.

The 3/1 favourite battled on and forced a photo in the end, with a real heads up, heads down finish putting the incredible bet in jeopardy.

But luckily the pound of a difference in the weights was in favour of Ajrad, who won by a NOSE to seal the £18,000 payday.
