But in the 65th minute he became embroiled in a row with Djibouti defender Moussa Hamadou.

Salah attempted to take the ball from Hamadou while the centre-back looked to see it out for a goal kick.

However, after the ball went out of play the two players appeared to tangle legs before getting into a heated argument.

Salah, who rarely clashes with anyone on the pitch, appeared to square up to Hamadou before the referee intervened to quash the argument.

Stunned fans took to social media to react, with one person writing: “I watch every single Salah game I’ve never ever seen him lose his cool, with that being said I love it.”

Another commented: “Something crazy had to have been said. Never seen Mo square up to anyone like that.”

A third fan wrote: “You got to do a lot to get a Mo Salah reaction.”

While a fourth added: “Never seen Salah square up to someone before, he must of said some madness.”
