RIO FERDINAND’S gloomy response to Chelsea’s astonishing late winner against Manchester United was captured by TNT Sports cameras last night.

The Red Devils legend, 45, was on punditry duty for the big game at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea raced to a two-goal advantage on a topsy-turvy evening in West London, before United came roaring back to lead 3-2.

The Blues then completed the latest comeback in Premier League history to break Man Utd hearts.

Cole Palmer scored from the penalty spot to level at 3-3, before bagging a deflected winner 81 seconds later.

Chelsea old boy Joe Cole, also on TNT Sports punditry duty, was filmed going mad pitchside, jumping around with his arms in the air with his face a picture of glee.

He then hugged his mate in wild delight, before pointing out Ferdinand.

The 42-year-old turned around and asked: “Where is he?”

Smiling he then pointed out Ferdinand, saying: “Look at him!”

The camera then zoomed in on the former England defender, who had his fingers over his mouth with a dejected look etched across his face.

Chelsea fans loved the clip, with one writing: “Rio’s face… silent rage!”

A second joked: “Poor Rio.”

While a third harshly added: “Seeing ferdinand looking gutted is a sight to cherish.”

After the game, Ferdinand slammed his former side for switching off.

He said: “Concentration plays a huge part at the end of these games.

“There’s a lot riding on these games, huge pressure, I know that. In the madness and chaos, you have to have people who are really on top of their game, concentrating, pointing, yelling.

“Pushing people about. The corner comes for the winner.

‘YOU GET PUNISHED’

“Palmer drifts out, no one even notices him. He’s the danger man, this is the guy you’ve got to shut down more than anyone else on that pitch. He drifts out, unopposed.

“Yes it’s a deflection, but he shouldn’t even get there if you’re concentrating, if you’re professional in that manner. You can’t afford to have them moments, you get punished at this level.”

In addition to Ferdinand, Mason Mount also had a miserable evening back at the Bridge.

The 25-year-old made his first return to Chelsea since leaving in a £60million switch last summer.

He was booed and jeered by Blues fans throughout, before even clashing with former team-mate Enzo Fernandez.

Meanwhile, Palmer enjoyed a record-breaking evening.

The Chelsea star has now scored more penalties in a season than any other player aged 21 or under, and is yet to miss one.

Only two players have taken more penalties with a 100 per cent conversion rate – Yaya Toure (11/11) and Dimitar Berbatov (9/9).

The Chelsea ace’s astonishing 101st minute winner also became the latest in Premier League history.

Having led after 99 minutes and 17 seconds, Man Utd completed the Prem’s latest ever collapse.
