ROY KEANE has revealed he had a six month feud with Ryan Giggs and refused to speak to him.

The duo were team-mates at Manchester United for 13 years and won the Treble together in 1999.

But the no-nonsense captain had a huge spat with Welsh winger after he once refused to attend a club event.

Keane lifted the lid on the argument telling SkyBet’s Stick to Football podcast: “I fell out with Giggsy, he wouldn’t do a function one time at the club.

“I was fuming with him. Me and Giggsy didn’t speak for five or six months.

“You know [as a player] when you have to do something for your club – nobody wants to do anything at the club.

“I was like, ‘Giggs you have to do what the club wants, we’ve all done it and it’s just your turn next.

“Giggs was obviously good with doing functions – it was just that day he went, ‘I’m not doing it’.

“And I was just irritated by him – simple as that – we dragged it on for a few months.”

Gary Neville also revealed that he once got caught in the middle of Keane and Giggs’ falling out.

He explained: “I walked in at 8am into the dressing room, Giggsy comes in and sits there.

“There were only three of us in the dressing room – me, Roy and Giggsy. They started arguing.

“I remember Roy saying you’ve done stuff for your testimonial or something like that and this arguing went on for about five minutes.

“I thought, ‘I’m getting f*****g out of here’.

“There’s nothing I can do so I walked out, I came back in ten minutes later and they were still going.”

Giggs was not the only team-mate that Keane had a lengthy feud with.

The Irishman also had a dispute with Gary Pallister because he left a night out too early.

Keane said: “Me and Palli didn’t speak for about 12 months. You just have these disagreements. Palli’s a good guy.”
