The Saudi Cup has been called the richest race in horse racing, as horses and riders aim to win the HUGE purse available at King Abdulaziz Racetrack.

The race is the main event race during the Saudi Cup Night, which sees eight races take place, with the Saudi Cup being the last.

The race in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia was first held in 2020, meaning this is the sixth iteration of the race, and the event.

The International Federation of Horseracing Authorities’ Grading and Race Planning Advisory Committee made the race a Group 1 event ahead of it’s third running in 2022.

Senor Buscador won the 2024 race, jockeyed by Junior Alvarado.
