Many more have been linked including Mbappe, with the spending spree set to continue this summer and beyond.

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Sport will provide £17billion for Saudi Pro League transfers between now and 2030, according to CBS reporter Ben Jacobs.

Mbappe is the number one priority with PSG reportedly accepting a £259m bid for the Frenchman from Al-Hilal.

The 18-time Saudi champions have also offered the superstar an eye-watering deal worth £600million a year, which would make him the highest-paid sports star of all time.

And the spending will not stop there with Jacobs reporting Neymar and Luka Modric have also been targeted this summer.

Reports claim Neymar could earn £172m a year if he made the switch, with Al-Hilal rumoured to be plotting a £38m bid for the Brazilian.

Al-Hilal targeted Modric too in a £170m deal and they could make an ambitious move for Robert Lewandowski next year.

Lewandowski revealed he is not thinking of moving to Saudi Arabia this summer – joining the likes of Son Heung-min, Romelu Lukaku and Jamie Vardy in that stance.

However several big names are on the verge of arriving, including Manchester City star Riyad Mahrez who is set to complete a £30m move to Al-Ahli after agreeing a £500,000-a-week contract.

His team-mate Bernardo Silva is also being eyed by Al-Hilal and could earn £41m per year in Saudi Arabia.

The Portuguese could follow in the footsteps of multiple Premier League players who have decided to make the switch to the Middle East.

Chelsea stars Edouard Mendy and Kalidou Kouliably have joined Al-Ahli and Al-Hilal respectively, while their team-mate Thiago Silva has also attracted interest from the Saudi Pro League.

Manchester United defender Alex Telles confirmed his £4m switch to Al-Nassr last week, where he will join Cristiano Ronaldo.

While Karim Benzema is one of the most high profile players to move to the Kingdom after agreeing a £342m contract with Al-Ittihad.

The likes of Jordan Henderson, Fabinho and Allan Saint-Maximin are all closing in on blockbuster moves with the latter set to leave Newcastle for £40m.
